Edit: I forgot to put a title here

If you haven't figured it out by now, this whole bloga blog is on hold for the moment. The last post was...2 months ago? Damn. Anyway, as I mentioned in my last post I'm going to Japan pretty soon (and by pretty soon i mean march 21) and i'll be starting this thing up again. it was supposed to be about travel anyway FFS, and i haven't been doing much of that lately, so i haven't felt any need to post, as i've mentioned before.

but lately, i got some pretty exciting news, and that would be my placement in japan. i'm going to a place in the mountains surrounding the tokyo area. i had to look it up on wikipedia, because my japanese travel guide didn't have any info on it.

yep, thats right, it's not in the travel guide, and i've gotta say that i'm dissapointed but i'm not surprised, because after all, it's a lonely planet travel guide. and i've explained before how valuable those are to travellers...who need some toilet paper and wouldn't y'know, theres none around.

So what did wikipedia have to say about the place?

1.) It's close to tokyo
2.) that's about it
3.) do you want to donate to wikipedia?

Yep, looks like my 1st assigment in japan is gonna be a bit out of the way i guess? i dont know. its close to tokyo. and by that i mean its in the county (yeah prefecture i know, shut up) next to tokyo which appears on a map to be a county all by itself? it's definitely big enough to be, when you take in the whole tokyo area that is. and honestly japan isnt a big country, so if it's that close on a map i think it should take...30 minutes to get to tokyo? i doubt it would take as long as the hour it took to get from incheon to seoul.

and i'm gonna have a car >_<

in case you were wondering, no, i dont hate myself enough to drive this car in tokyo.

at one point i decided that i was living a good life if i was not responsible for any of these things: a car, a house, children. well now i'll have to break a rule in order to work in japan, something which i've wanted to do for ages. or 5 years actually, not ages. sure you might say that having the car will be convenient, maybe even fun, but to that i say "you're dumb." why drive yourself when a bus driver or subway conductor can do all the work for you? a car is a pain in the ass, waiting for the right time to strike...to annoy you. what if this thing breaks down? i dont know how to talk cars in japanese ffs! i'll have to get used to driving on the 'other' side of the road and stuff too.
or maybe i can just drive on whatever side of the road i feel like. after all, i'm gonna be a gaijin in japan so maybe i just don't know any better?
