it`s getting warmer every day here. that means that school is going to get a little more unpleasant, because only the staff room and principal`s room are airconditioned.

but, the warmer weather means that not only summer, but festival season are upon us. and i just went to one, a couple days ago.

people in devil costumes, dancing around for an hour. & what`s the meaning behind it? i don`t know, and neither did my Japanese friend. and neither did anyone else we talked to that day. maybe it`s one of those things that people have been doing for so many hundreds of years, they don`t remember why they started doing in the first place.

Making friends

I just met one of the local yakuza. Although, this guy is more of a yakuza wannabe. The word for that in Japanese is "chinpira"
チンピラ

Thing about real yakuza is, they try as hard as they can to not draw attention to themselves. No real yakuza would ever say "I'm a fucking yakuza!" like he did in Japanese or any other language. And this guy had all 10 fingers too. If a loudmouth idiot like this guy was really a yakuza, I reckon he'd have about 6 fingers left by now.

See the thing is they have to cut off 1 of their own fingers when they fuck up. Saying "I'm in the yakuza" is definitely a huge fuckup. I've met these chinpira type before, nothing to be afraid of. This moron was trying to sell me a Japanese visa. Too bad for him, mine is good till 2014
